To: All WPRC Members

From: Tom Brew K3WS
Message 1 - Log number 3335

I would like to say thank you to everyone for the congratulations and
best wishes as your new Secretary.

This note is being sent to reassure you that the WPRC Board of Directors
and our various Committees have been hard at work since our elections at
the October meeting.

From October 1 through today the WPRC has issued log numbers 3255 - 3335
relating to items of official business sent to the WPRC for processing.
This represents 81 individual items of various correspondence from new
membership applications (which is on a rise), new coordination requests,
survey responses, to many other items of official business for the WPRC.

I am not going to mention here who we have received items from however
we are working on a personalized response system so that you know
anything you send to the WPRC in the future is received and in process.
We have some very nice automation ideas and hope that we have your
patience and support while we work hard to implement the new processes.
The WPRC web site will become a primary source for correspondence
acknowledgements and some level of status updates sometime in the near
future.

There were some issues noted at the October meeting that are receiving
priority attention.

I have enlisted the help of Elaine K3EMM, a WPRC member, as our
Assistant to the Secretary. Together, with your support, we will ensure
a timely flow of information to the Board of Directors as well as a
better response the membership.

Keep an eye on this e-mail reflector and the WPRC web site for a
possible announcement relating to a possible special WPRC meeting.
Please encourage your fellow members to sign up to this e-mail reflector
using the instructions on the WPRC web site.

We truly look forward to the new WPRC and working with each of you to
help make the process much smoother for all of us as we transition into
a more electronic data processing system.

With your support, 2013 will be very exciting for the WPRC members and
the users of the many repeaters we all support!

Please remember to renew your membership for 2013 soon.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Respectfully,
Tom Brew K3WS
Secretary Elect.
