[Wprcnews] WPRC Brreezeshooter Hamfest Report

The W.P.R.C. participated in this year's Breezeshooters Hamfest last 
Sunday June 2, 2013. Our sur(prizes) included the distribution of
A.R.R.L. Repeater directory's to paid members. Plus, we had a drawing, 
for paid members, of a Baofeng UV-5R handy talky transceiver.
The lucky winner was Jim Hartzell WA3UQD of Gibsonia, Pa. 
Congratulations Jim!     : )

We also had some folks renew their memberships. They included Martha 
Backstrom W3YZR of the CCFMA, Mel Musulin N3BJY, Charles Johnson N3ETV,
and Harry Bloomberg W3YJ of University of Pittsburg.

We also received two new membership applicatons. They were from Wes 
Nicholas KD3IJ, and John Lindvay WB3IFD.

I would like to thank all of you that stopped by, asked questions, at 
our table. I would also like to thank the W.P.R.C.
board members who helped. They included Elaine Bailey K3EMM, Paul Plants 
W3PLP, Frank Bobro N3FB, and me Chuck W3ON.

I would especially like to thank Bob Worek AG3U of the Breezeshooters 
for arranging our excellent table location in the main building of the 
hamfest.
We did make a donation to the Breezeshooters, although it was not a 
requirement to attend.

Well, that ends this report. Hopefully we will see you at the next 
meeting scheduled for somewhere in the Greensburg, Pa.
We are still awaiting confirmation of the actual location from the 
sponsor, the W.E.A.R.S. club of Westmoreland County.
