[Wprcnews] WPA Section D-STAR Contest Winner Announced

I am pleased to announce that earlier today the WPA Section D-STAR contest concluded with the prize drawing being held at the WPA Section Convention and Skyview Amateur Radio Society's Swap N Shop in New Kensington PA.  As you will recall, the prize was a new Icom ID-880H D-STAR/analog FM rig.  

Bill N3BPB conducted the drawing and the winner was:
 N3JPS John P. Sellers of Finleyville PA.  

A huge thank you goes out to all who made this contest possible.  They include:Net Control Operators Al N3FKE and Paul KB3POYBill N3BPB who officiated over the prize drawing.And the contest sponsors which included:
   
   -  The Repeater Association, sponsor of the W3EXW D-STAR System in Allegheny County and sponsor of the WPA Section's REF063 reflector.
   -  The K3LR Operators, supporters of the K3AWS D-STAR System in Crawford County. 
   -  The Westmoreland Emergency Amateur Radio Service, sponsor of the WC3PS D-STAR System in Westmoreland County. 
   -  The Philipsburg Amateur Radio Association, sponsors of the W3PHB D-STAR System in Clearfield County.

In accordance with the contest rules, the prize will be shipped directly from DX Engineering to the winner at the address listed in the FCC database.  Congratulations John!  Enjoy your new ID-880H rig.  We hope to hear you trying out your new rig sometime soon on REF063 C.
